Earth Day Celebration at the Clay Center

The Clay Center is featuring an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21st, with participation from the WV DNR, the Division of Forestry, and by our own Handlan Bird Club. We could still use a few volunteers to be present and answer questions about the club. If you cannot commit to staffing our booth, you should still come by and see our display.

Century Count

We have selected the weekend of May 5th as the time to conduct our Century Count, during which we attempt to spot or hear as many different species of birds as we can. If anyone is interested in participating, but wishes to accompany a more experienced birder, please call Doren Burrell at 304-343-5873 and we'll get you matched up with other birders for the event.
